ac3 passthrough not working in current SVN #533

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. select audio "ALSA"
2. select AC3/DTS passthrough
3. play a surround 5.1 AC3/DTS video clip

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Showing details with CTRL-D lists "FFAC3" as audio-codec, where it should be
"HWAC3". Also my AV-Reciever reports it is NOT recieving an AC3-stream.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

current SVN r2142 on Gentoo Linux

Please provide any additional information below.

With gnome-mplayer v1.03 ac3-passthrough is working fine on my other gentoo
macine. CTRL-D lists properly "HWAC3" as audio codec.

Can you test SVN r2143, I believe I have fixed this issue, but I don't have the
hardware to test it.

Yep, you fixed it! Back to normal again. Thanks!

To make it work, I have to select the specific output device, in my case "HDA
ATI SB (ALC892 Digital) (alsa).

If I only select general "ALSA" output I get an "MPlayer interrupted by signal
11 in module: av_sync" and the video won't play. But that's not a big hassle as
I know what I have to select...
