no panscan option anymore? #540

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. download via SVN
2. ./configure --with-pulseaudio --prefix=/usr --enable-panscan

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
should run without warning
but:
produced the warning "configure: WARNING: unrecognized options: 
--enable-panscan"

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
todays SVN version

Please provide any additional information below.
Can we make the panscan thing default, so that i dont have to recompile 
whenever the fedora package changes?

panscan support has been removed for now. It may be coming back in the future, 
but it was kludgy to implement and created problems in the code.
