Open folder from command line leads to "Couldn't open DVD device" #587

Running 
$ gnome-mplayer MusicFolder/
leads to the error
Couldn't open DVD device: /dev/dvd (No such file or directory)
instead of building a playlist as the gui do.

I also tried file:///path/to/MusicFolder and --playlist option without success.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
gnome-mplayer 1.0.4 on xubuntu 11.10
