feature request: support for mate-file-manager from MATE desktop #685

Hi,
i'm fedora packager and part of MATE upstream.
I did fork gnome-mplayer for the MATE desktop sinces one year, see 
https://github.com/NiceandGently/mate-mplayer

But in the end this is a bit needless, because we need only the nautilus part 
convert to caja (mate-file-manager.

So are you interested to add caja support to gnome-mplayer?
I'm willing to help you and sending a patch for this.

Wolfgang,

Yes I am willing to add caja support to gnome-mplayer. I recently added nemo 
support as well, so the code should be pretty simple to do. In fact I would 
looking at making a file-manager common routine to remove the duplicated code. 
So if we do this for caja that would be something I would pursue.

Hi,
sorry for late response, i was quite busy over the last year in real life.
Thank you for your positive answer.
I've done a patch base on your work for nemo.
Which works well in a local test rpm for fedora 20. The audio property page in 
caja is working without any probs.
Let me know if you need more info's or help.

Hi,

I'm the mate-mplayer maintainer for Arch Linux. Please consider merging the 
`gnome-mplayer_add-caja-extension.patch` above so that gnome-mplayer in the 
official Arch Linux repositories can cater for MATE users too.

Even if the `gnome-mplayer_add-caja-extension.patch` could be merged to trunk, 
without a new release tarball, that would be sufficient.
