While I load the externel subtitle file by "Set Subtitle", the cursor will not
automatically hide. And if don't set the externel subtitle, it works right!

My mplayer is vaapi version and gnome-mplayer is 1.0.8-1. My OS is
ubuntu-13.04(x86_64).

Might be an issue with mplayer resetting the cursor. I do not believe there is
any code that will not hide the cursor depending on the subtitle selected. Can
you please retest with stock mplayer and see if that has any difference.
