Keyboard configuration changes when playlist is extended

1. Start playing a video clip.
2. Hit F9 to extend playlist
3. Hit space bar.

Expected output:
Video pauses, same as without the playlist extended.

What do I see instead:
Video skips back to the start.

Product version: 1.0.8
OS: Ubuntu Linux 13.10
