What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Win32
2. Edcast ignoring minimum bitrate in .ini file for Ogg Vorbis, allows the
stream to stop on silence (being fed from Virtual Audio Cable). This causes
glitches and pops on VLC player or Barix Exstreamer 100 player etc... when
bitrate restarts.
3. Using IceCast2 server kh7 Win32.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expected the Ogg Vorbis stream (when set to 144Kbps bitrate) to stay above
0Kbps on silence or near 144Kbps, so it does not stop clients connected via
IceCast2 and glitch/pop on restart. Have tested this in programme called "butt"
and it keep streaming during silence, however EdCast stops on silence which
introduces these problems. Checked the ini file for the minimum bitrate
setting, but appears EdCast may be ignoring this?
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? Which
type (DSP, Fraunhofer DSP, Standalone or ASIO)?
Latest stable and lastest beta Win32 stand alone.
Please provide any additional information below.
That's all I can really think of. It's just a little frustrating having the
glitches and pops when audio and the bitrate resumes in different players.
