Remove from Favorites not present on Menu (3.7.3) ATV2 #112

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Find and highlight a Video you want to remove from your Favorites list
2. Hold Menu on Apple Remote until context menu appears
3. Option to Remove isn't present so favourites list is just getting bigger &
Bigger

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I should see an option to Remove from favourites for items selected from
Favorites List

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
ATV2 4.4.4 Unteathered

Please provide any additional information below.

I am not sure when I lost the option. It was present in 3.7 I beleive.

Excellent work. 3.7.4. Has resolved this issue certainly on the latest cut of
ATV2.

Appologies, you are correct. I clearly must have checked prior to restarting
Navi-X. 3.7.4 does not provide a remove item option from context menu. The
bypass at present for me it to downgrade to 3.7 base remove the unwanted items
and then reinstall 3.7.4

The option to remove favorites is not available in the context menu... it is in
the right popup menu when you are in favorites. To remove favorites, you must
be in your favorites menu in the left popup window in Navi-X. Highlight an item
in the list and press right on the remote to bring up the right side popup
menu. It contains both "Add Favorite" and "Remove Favorite".

Please utilize support at Navi-Xtreme site at http://navix.turner3d.net next
time for assistance. Had you done this, you would have already known the
favorites options are not in the context menu, but another menu entirely.

IRoNBill,

Thank you for your response. I have just rechecked and I am sorry to report
Theethod you have described does not provide a remove item option on 3.7.4

The right arrow menu gives me :
Play
Add to favourites
Download
Rate It
More options

The more options selection brings up the same menu as holding down the menu
button (which is precisely why i described this as the method to replicate the
issue on the shortest number of steps I knew)where in 3.7 remove item was
listed but not under 3.7.3.

I have again rolled backed to 3.7 just to recheck my facts and after a Navi-x
restart the option to remove item reappeared exactly as I described.

I have then checked 3.7.1,2,3&4 and they have no option to remove.

I had indeed checked the help files, FAQs checked the forums before I logged
this as a potential issue. I am sorry you thought/think I am/was just posting
something withough having checked it out first.

Could you please take another look at this, I don't think it's just me, and I
have tried this on 2 seperate ATV2 boxes just to be sure it wasn't an unlikely
hardware issue.

If there is anything I can provide to help replicated this or to provide
additional diagnostics pleae feel free to let me know.

And I have also tried to find the Remove from Favorites and nothing on the
right menu.
How can we fix this?
