Unknown encoder 'libxvid' #168

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Open WinFF
2.Try converting

ffmpeg version 0.8.1-4:0.8.1-0ubuntu1, Copyright (c) 2000-2011 the Libav 
developers
  built on Mar 22 2012 05:29:10 with gcc 4.6.3
This program is not developed anymore and is only provided for compatibility. 
Use avconv instead (see Changelog for the list of incompatible changes).
Input #0, mov,mp4,m4a,3gp,3g2,mj2, from '/home/name/file.something':

Please install the libavcodec-extra-53 package as suggested by the winff 
package.

Reopen the bug if it does not help.

WinFF is unusable on Ubuntu 14.04 due to this error. The libavcodec-extra-53 
package is installed by WinFF always fails to convert into the AVI format with 
the "Unknown encoder 'libxvid'" message.

You should file Ubuntu bugs to Ubuntu. Anyways, in Ubuntu 14.04 you should get 
libavcodec-extra-54.
