Before that, the darwin support is not completely implemented, please check it. Also the README files needs an update.
I wonder if we can go ahead even without solid darwin support. After all, solid darwin support can be sustained only if we have darwin users contributing bug reports/fixes.
Alternatively, using a development version in the CPAN upload (0.60_01
?) can be used as warning that things may break.
Or, we may call for testers on some firebird mailing list (-devel?).
Sorry if I am too pushing :)
PerlMonks is another good place to make an announcement and call for testers.
We can fix darwin after release , if there will be any takers , i will ask the same people who sent to us patches first time .
i think is time for a firebird-perl mailing list / group :)
maybe turn perl-dbd-firebird into 'organization' here on github (not sure it that provides mailing lists, but it sounds like it)?
there is always the possibility to register a project on alioth.debian.org (git, mailing lists, issue tracker, run by Debian people, no limits). we could also have an IRC channel on OFTC :)
I have uploaded the 0.60 on cpan so now we need testers :) , I will put an annoucement on firebirdnews/reddit/r/perl
1.github doesn't have mailing list for organization only private git repositories 2.can you create an project on debian alioth and then a mailing list for it ?
3.Stefan could you put an announcement on PerlMonks with the need for testers for 0.60 on darwin
I have submitted a request for a dbd-firebird project to the Alioth administrators. Thanks for releasing 0.60!
also it will close this bug too
