Failed QueryTree requests flood logs #39

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

I have no idea how to reproduce this, but my hard disk just got filled with
about 400 gigabytes of this warning in the logs:

  Nov 23 07:42:19 nauhuri nxnode[25544]: DEBUG daemon:461
/usr/bin/nxagent[25548] stderr: nxagentHandleReparentNotify: WARNING! Failed
QueryTree request.

The logs contain over 2000 copies of this warning each second.

No NX client connections were made for several days before the warnings,
during the warnings nor after them.

I'm running neatx 0.3.1 from https://launchpad.net/~freenx-team/+archive/ppa
on Mythbuntu 9.10.

Ouch, that's definitely unpleasant. Something is causing nxagent to lose its
mind,
and produce vast amount of logs. Ah hah:
http://www.nomachine.com/tr/view.php?id=TR10G02287 . So, the correct fix is to
wait
for NoMachine to patch nxserver. In the meantime, if you comment out the
"logging =
debug" line in neatx.conf, i think that will stop the above message making it
to syslog.
