Spring Batch Upgrade #299

Is this project still intended to be used moving forward? I've upgraded a fork of this project to be compatible with 4.2.1.RELEASE (at least the core). Should I put together a pull request?

Hey @jasongriebeler - we're talking about it internally to see if someone would like to own this and handle PRs. Right now though, I can't guarantee that someone will take ownership of it and handle PRs.
