Please add support for monitoring other network-location availability? ie, mapped network drive, ftp, etc #12

Please provide any additional information below.

This is just a simple request to add the functionality of monitoring a network 
location instead of an http web address. It would be super handy to be able to 
monitor whether or not an ftp stayed available, or if there are intermittent 
issues with LAN connectivity.
