Tradingview chart mods not working for me #31

Hi,

I installed the "master pack" in latest versions of Chrome and in Firefox. Everything seems to work great, except the Tradingview chart mod. I cannot get it to work in either browser. I confirmed my chart source is set to "Default" and restarted browsers, still no joy. I am new to Tampermonkey, and CH for that matter. -I enabled debug mode in TM and then took a look in Chrome dev console for errors. I found some (other than tinysort) but am not smart enough to know if they are meaningful or if there is better debug available using other means. Before we consider code, are there other settings (chart or CH) you are aware of that would stop Average Cost and last buy from showing? The scale "zoomed" appropriately so my values should be visible.

If you want debug info and have a a preferred method for me to retrieve and submit I would be happy to do so.

Thank you, I am really loving the scripts!

Hi,

I stumbled into some more information, Posting it here in the hope that is saves others some time. The chart mod only works in Advanced View, and only after selecting the charted coin in the coin list. The other mods (colored watch list, absolute value, etc.) do not work in Advanced view.

Thanks for posting this info here. The chart mod is definitely the most brittle script and I worked with quite a few people to test it and we could never actually figure out why some people get one chart url and other get a different one.

Note this part of the readme:

Note: Some users are served the chart on chart/chart_tradingview.php and this script will not work if your charts are loaded from there. It will only work on the chart/chart.php url. Enable this feature by switching to the default chart source: Profile > Settings > Chart source, and select the default option.
