Human Rights Watch? #18

(On an unrelated note, I especially like the Ethiopian government's comments about the Human Rights Watch making allegations that were "hearsay and its methods as slapdash".)

I know we have talked about CNN and whatnot in the past. They obviously have fake world news, but they also have regional branches that cover real news, so it's just enough truth to hook people and also be somewhat useful. Human Rights Watch does not cover any local news and all of their news is prone to being fake and EXTREMELY bias. Also, they are often confused as being related to the UN Human Rights Council, but they are actually just an NGO. Maybe just look further into it is all I ask, and beyond that is your judgment.

I am not disagreeing with the facts, but all the other extra BS is completely out of line.

Their original story: https://www.hrw.org/news/2018/04/25/saudi-arabia-executions-drug-crimes

News Observatory covers their story CORRECTLY: https://newsobservatory.com/human-rights-watch-saudi-arabia-has-executed-48-people-since-the-beginning-of-the-year/

There is a BIG difference...

In my view, those who twist their own sick interpretations of religion in order to incite distrust seem an awful lot like terrorists. In the article attached to the above link they cite "Islamic Principles" multiple times for laws that are equally observed in countries of stronger Buddhist, Christian, and Hindu influence. And the religious argument is not even the main point of misinformation. I don't normally read their news, but I just recently joined Twitter and decided to give following them a try. After I read that, I did some more research and apparently their bias is a pretty common occurrence.

Like I said, maybe just look into it further. I think I am still just a bit in rant mode after reading that, so my apologies. Someone abusing the name of "human rights" is just sickening, especially when they ignore the real human rights issues in order to push their agenda. It may just have been a bad author though, some of their articles are hit or miss.
