Feature request: option to add custom text to scan results

text length would be typically small (<= 8 chars or so) and should be added to each scan result (in a separate column) until changed or deleted/disabled. Our use case (see issue #318): having book shelf location, id, whatever included in scan results while doing library inventory. So far we resorted to special export filenames but doing so it is relatively easy to destroy data by mistake.

But - do you know you can add a label to each record in the history listing (by long tapping it)? Although this feature is probably too cumbersome to use for bulk scans.

now I know :-) but this feature is indeed too cumbersome for more than a few scans. We currently have 5000 books or so to scan...

Hi !

I wanted to chip in, I'm a volunteer in a food coop and we're looking for a barcode scanner that would allow us to indicate the amount juste after scanning the product code. It would improve greatly our current inventory process :)

Or do you know a barcode scanner app that does this, maybe @kk-konrad ?
