fan2go reduces the noise too much #247

Since I installed and configured fan2go, my PC is strangely quiet. I since did not have to fiddle with the configuration, think about changing the fans, think about buying better noise isolating headphones. Even after switching the motherboard the system only needed minimal changes to be quiet again, almost absolutely quiet on idle and reasonably quiet under load. I'm missing the stress and excitement of having to find a better solution after fancontrol's configuration suddenly stops working, or after a hardware change proves impossible to get really quiet. Now I start to be annoyed by the audible noise from the fridge in the distance. Please make fan2go less effective and reliable.

Seriously, I just wrote an article about noise sensitivity and realized again how much this project helped make my system quiet. You ended a problem that lingered for years. Thank you.

I know we shouldn't be using the bug tracker to say thanks, but seriously, thank you so much! I started to rewrite fancontrol to do essentially the same thing, this solution is so much more elegant! I've sent you this months $10..
