transfer data off Monash servers #30

I have a nice new allocation so the data is being synced now.

The steps now to get everything working

  1. configure the webserver script to access data on the volume
  2. domain forwarding redirection to the data store
  3. make sure the new ip address doesn't break anything

1 and 2 above have been done. Now waiting for the IP addess change to take effect.

After webserver checking, the data are still copied to epi3, this will be modified later. The most likely way to move forward is rsync to bfx followed by validation and scp back, perhaps with a list of QC failed folders.

just found out it was still redirected to 43.xx... have transfered it to the correct IP 118.xx...

New IP has propagated and it's working. Now need to start the process of removing the data from epi3 scratch

new datasets are being relayed to deakin servers successfully. Once rsync has completed, i will be able to clear the epi3 scratch disk, and just keep a backup on /data/projects. The bulk data link will also be changed to the new datastore.
