Hi Walter,
I think it's great that you've cleaned up the XML parser nomenclature for all
the different types of GeneralSubstitutionModel. So, let's keep that!
However, BEAST still needs to be backwards compatible ... many users still have XMLs that include labels like "svsGeneral..." including all of the phylogeography tutorials and the appendix in published paper that presents this work. Now, NONE of these run. Can you please, please add back in backwards-compatibility.
