I have performed the xml file using beauty 1.5.4. and I’ve constrained
a taxa in the same way that i have done using Beauty 1.5.4., then i
calibrated the TMRCA prior using a normal distribution.

When i run this file in BEAST 1.6.x. the programme said:

WARNING: unexpected element in coalescentTree:startingTree: tmrca in
constrainedTaxa

Sorry I mean have formed the xml file and constrained several taxon using
Beauti 1.5.4., then i calibrated the TMRCA prior using a normal distribution
using Beast 1.5.4.

But when i run the same file using BEAST 1.6.x. the programme said:

Unexpected element in coalescentTree:startingTree: tmrca in constrainedTaxa,
tmrca in constrainedTaxa, tmrca in constrainedTaxa, tmrca in constrainedTaxa,
tmrca in constrainedTaxa, tmrca in constrainedTaxa, tmrca in constrainedTaxa,
tmrca in constrainedTaxa, tmrca in constrainedTaxa, tmrca in constrainedTaxa,
tmrca in constrainedTaxa, tmrca in constrainedTaxa, tmrca in constrainedTaxa,
tmrca in constrainedTaxa

And by the way I found that this program is not compatible with my new 64-bit
system and JAVA VM, this can be solved by install the 32-bit version Java VM.

Dear User,

Please provide the XML for investigating.

If you use beast.jar in 64-bit system, it should not have any problem.

Thanks,
Walter

Is it right to ignore this message if I can go on with the analysis?

I noticed that there is also the same warning message in an internet tutorial
of BEAST
(http://molecularevolution.org/resources/activities/beast_activity/primates).

This is the same issue as 403:
http://code.google.com/p/beast-mcmc/issues/detail?id=403

You can ignore the warning.
