Could not read any data from device #1

Closed sebastian9105 closed 11 months ago

I have followed every step in the instructions exactly and then when i want to do the integration i get the error: "Could not read any data from device". It does not matter if I enter the hostname or the IP.

marq24 commented 11 months ago

Can you reach the IP via a regular browser? [and get the website (as shown here) ]

sebastian9105 commented 11 months ago

Yes, that works.

... I am sorry if I am asking really 'silly' questions here (I have updated the docu few hours ago) - so I want to make sure, that we do not have a misunderstanding here - so when you say you can reach the tibber bridge's website from a web browser (in the same network then your HA installation), then this is after you have reset the bridge - so that's back in the default mode (and not in the AP-mode anylonger)?

Can you check, what is the output of this url? http://[YOUR-LOCAL-IP-HERE]/nodes/1/data

sebastian9105 commented 11 months ago

Yes, exactly. I have now set up the Pulse again and then I followed your instructions exactly. Problem still exists. If I enter http://[YOUR-LOCAL-IP-HERE]/nodes/1/data in the browser, the page is not accessible. If I leave out "http://" and enter only [Local-IP]/nodes/1/data, I get the data of the Pulse displayed. So the data that the Pulse is probably currently reading out.

sebastian9105 commented 11 months ago

Tried again, now http://[local-ip]/nodes/1/data works. But in the integration it says:"Es konnten keine Daten abgerufen werden"(No data available)

marq24 commented 11 months ago

Wwwwaaaaaaaas? This sounds really strange... so specifing a valid URL (starting with http://) does not work - and specify an invalid URL (without http://) does work?!

... update....

after you local "valid" URL is finally working - can you please share a screenshot? [I want to make sure that there is some data in the text-field]... ?!

Ja ich wars nicht, ich hab so gut wie keine Ahnung von IT :-D

Yes it wasn't me, I have almost no idea about IT :-D

marq24 commented 11 months ago

can you share also the screen from http://[YOUR-IP-HERE]/nodes/1/config

I assume it's something different then 'SML 1.04' - right?

But its working fine with the Tibber app. I can see live Data without anything being selected.

sebastian9105 commented 11 months ago

The Meter is a "eBZ DD3 2R10 ETA - ODZ1" and the communication interface is "OBIS-unidir., Mode-D (IEC 1107)" but the Pulse found out what to do by itself.

marq24 commented 11 months ago

as I said the output was totally unexpected for me and I need to implement pently of additional things - I'll let you know, as soon as it's worth to update to a new version...

sebastian9105 commented 11 months ago

OK, thank you very much so far. I thought I was stupid and couldn't do it even with the good instructions

marq24 commented 11 months ago

Please go to to your HACS - and select the tibber_local integration

  1. from the '3-dot' menu (upper right corner) select 'download again'
  2. enable the "beta" option
  3. select the 1.0.5 (please note, that when enabling 'beta' the gui might not update the selection-box) - the best procedure imho is to select a different value then the "current installed" (e.g. select 1.0.3) and then select again 1.0.5
  4. download/install this 1.0.5
  5. restart HomeAssistant
  6. try to add the tibber_local integration again
marq24 commented 11 months ago

so this new build "instantly" worked for you???

sebastian9105 commented 11 months ago

Yes, thank you very much.
