cannot setup Integration #16

Hi, I'm currently not able to Setup the Integration at HA side. I have access to the Host Website and can read the side there. But as soon as I try to setup this in HA, it only shows this: image

Why open this issue? I'm not sure if the Integration can be setup correctly, when no data from the Pulse reader is provided. This is due to a defective meter on my side. But the timber Bridge is working fine.

Can this be clarified? I'm able to wait until my meter was replaced, but also this might be worth a look, so when the bride is available a setup should be possible, or?

you might like to check the issues here... https://github.com/marq24/ha-tibber-pulse-local/issues/3 or https://github.com/marq24/ha-tibber-pulse-local/issues/6

Both will need to wait until my meter is replaced. As there is currently zero data output and nothing on the display. I already informed the Owner, but this might take time.

But why is the connection not possible, when there is no valid data from the pulse? Isn't there a connection check to the bridge only?

during setup the integration request the list of available OBIS codes from the bridge - if there are none, then it's assumed, that the IP address is probably not correct... IMHO it would not help, when the integration can connect to the remote device, but is not able to read any data...

Ok, then this is most likely my issue. As there is no Meter Output, Pulse can't deliver anything to the Bridge.

Then I have to wait until I get my new meter to setup the Integration. I will report back if this then also doesn't work o if it works.
