Firmware images #17

My new HG-UV98 has the Host UpData... message screen on start-up. qzlcdz.com seems to be a dead link now, does anyone know where to find the firmware images for the radio?

I'm having some issues with my HG-UV98 as well. My HW version is v1.0.1, my radio FW v1.0.1_190619, and my APRS version is HG_UV98_20190501.

Does anyone have a different firmware version for me to try? The screen sometimes just comes up blank, and the GPS never gets a fix.

if you didn't get notified, they released a new aprs firmware last night (to version HG_UV98_20200923): http://venus-itech.com/download/HG-UV98%20aprs%20firmware.rar

The change is to correct the grid square bug for western latitudes.

I have the same HW / FM and newer aprs firmware - the same issue - No fix for GPS. Maybe Hardware is broken or need new firmware.
