Ditto. I tried re-installing the app, deleting Terminal files and preferences
manually, etc. and nothing worked.

Same here. I'm assuming this is related to it having built-in backgrounding
functionality and this apparently has changed in 3.0 (since backgrounder
doesn't work
either).

Version 316s-7 is the old, non-3.0-compatible version; you have to use the new
Cydia
repository. See
http://thebigboss.org/2009/06/21/iphone-30-app-compatibility-list/
for info on how to check which repository you are using, and if you are using
the
old one, add http://apt.saurik.com/cydia-3.7/ to your repository list
(Manage→Sources in Cydia).

I'm using mobileterminal 364-9 on a 2G iPhone with 3.0 OS and the app crashes
at startup.
Sometimes, it rotates to the right just before crashing. (don't know if that
helps)

Steps to reproduce it on my 3g iphone 3.0 frm.
1. Cleare my iphone from ssh:
#cd /
#rm -rf ./
2. Restore firmware from iTunes
3. Use redsn0w
4. Install MobileTerminal
After these steps MobileTerminal works fine.
But yesterday, I installed GCC, make, GDB. MobileTerminal worked, but only till
iphone not reboot. I shut down iphone for night and tomorrow morning
MobileTerminal
crashes at startup.
PS. libgcc I get here http://ipod-touch-max.ru/cydia/index.php?cat=category&id=9
Hope this help. best regards

<Leonard_Hofstadter>Boy, I'm stuck.</Leonard_Hofstadter>
Kiddin' around, I've tried to install some old releases of MT, but none of them
are
working.
So people, if you N33333D a terminal on your iPhone right now, use pTerm, and
wait
for the bugs to be fixed.
MT is a great program, I won't uninstall it, but I'm waiting for another beta :)

Confirmed on iPod Touch 4.0 using Jailbreakme.com
I am not sure how to fix it based on the instructions on Comment 4, could there
be a wiki tutorial please.
I am trying to change my iPhone's default SSH password, if anyone knows a way
around it please let me know, or if using Jailbreakme.com does not require
doing this please let me know as well.

@alexandrojv9 you can ssh into your phone using terminal/puTty on your comp and
change the passwords like that, you don't actually have to do it on your
device.
SSH root@youriPhonesIPaddress <return> and type password (alpine). Then follow
instructions to change passwd. Remember to change mobile password as well as
root.
Yes your iPhone has to be on the same wireless networkto get the ip address
