I exported the Sketchyphysics code from Google code. If DarthGak makes an official file, I will change this to be a redirect link.

Sketchup 2015 Plugin directory #146

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install Sketchup 2015
2. Install Sketchyphysics 3.2

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expected Sketchyphysics to be installed correctly. I did not see any tool
bar.

I uninstalled Sketchup and reisntalled both.

When I went to reinstall Sketchyphysics it wants to install to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Google Sketchup 8\plugins
However Sketchup 2015 is installed in
C:\Program Files\SketchUp\SketchUp 2015
-> There is no plugnins directory

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Window 7, SP1

Please provide any additional information below.
The solution is:

It turns out the Sketchup 2015 uses local data to store the plugins. I
installed here and suddenly works.
C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp 2015\SketchUp\Plugins

So the installer is broken.

I'm going to try the solution above because I was having the exact same issue.

The solution above did not work for me. I installed it in the exact same
directory. I still cannot get SP to activate. :/

I had mixed results... i changed the install directory and it is now telling me
that TT2 is required for core.rb. tt2 is already installed but i still get a
popup to install it (though the button on extension warehouse says uninstall).
i also get a popup with numerous dependency errors:

I am not sure what all this means but will try to sit down and see if i can
figure it out.

also, the 3 SP toolbars do appear, however only the "create solids" tool
appears to work.

does anyone else have any idea what to do with this before i get elbow deep?

I got version 3.5.6 to work on Sketchup Make 2015 (32-bit).

http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=61&t=58936

Unfortunatly this version is not compatable with the 64-bit version, which is
what I originally had installed.
