Thumbnail images showing as broken

What steps will reproduce the problem?
I have no idea. I've undertaken this for a site that was hacked and ever since 
the images are showing as broken.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Broken images on the home page of the blog for the thumbnails of the featured 
images.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
2.8.9 of timthumb. Latest version of Wordpress. I've tried all operating 
systems.

Please provide any additional information below.

I have the same issue, however it was after I changed servers. I've checked 
permissions on the folders and images but they are OK.

same issue too, everything is fine, then next day half my images are broken
