no command after installation #4

After installing the plugin, I receive the following error:

sfdx dataDictionary:generate           
 »   Warning: dataDictionary generate is not a sfdx command.

the sfdx install seems to have worked where the npm install resulted in the behavior described above.

sfdx plugins:install sfdxdatadicgen
