Handling of long file names #695

0.8 is looking fantastic. thanks!

A small thing I have noticed compared to Finder is how Marta displays long file names.

  1. Marta truncates at the end. Finder in the middle.
  2. Marta doesn't have a tooltip/hover to see the full file name.

Compared to finder:

I've extracted #733 to a separate issue. Tooltip feature will be implemented in 0.8.1.

I reopened the issue as I had to disable the new tooltip because of usability problems. See https://github.com/marta-file-manager/marta-issues/issues/750#issuecomment-890329259 and comments above for more details.
