Generate spectrum for x-ray #23

Hello,

I am trying to simulated X-ray spectra of 28 kV with filtering for a study on
mammography. I am encountering a few difficulties with the tools that I have
available so I am looking for a already made spectrum. In the spectrum files
that came with MCGPU it says that the source is IPEM Report 78. I want to ask
you if you have an idea if this will be helpful for me (I could not find an
abstract or resume of the content). Thank for your help.

There are many publications and software that can provide a mammographic x-ray
spectra.
This article contains some useful references:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17654920
John Boone has also published multiple datasets and surprisingly there is even
an app based on his work
(https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.donnelly.mammographyspectra).
The IPEM Report 78 contains software to generate the spectra but I don't know
if it is available for free.

You can google "Simulation of X-ray Spectra" to get some links to other
software to simulate spectra.

Best regards!
