It seems DST is not properly supported in maitreya. For example, in europe it was applied on the 28th march in the current year (2021). As a test, by trying a DOB before, and then one after that date, do not trigger any change in the "DST" field in the birth details settings window. Time was up-shifted by one hour on that day by countries observing it.
