This is pins mapping for TTGO T5S. Inactive by default. T5S is using GPIO19 for I2S DOUT and MAX98357A has built-in amp., ( deactivation of AMP_POWER_CTRL macro is recommended )

martinberlin commented 4 years ago

Question @lyusupov does it sounds better with that built in amplifier? Did you try to deliver the image using https://cale.es ?

lyusupov commented 4 years ago

Thank you for the merge!

Yes, T5S built-in amp is quite nice. It sounds good with a big loudspeaker. With small one (40 mm) - it sounds Ok. MAX98357A does worth the money spent.

Cale.es weather integration works good to me, provided that 4 bits color is in use: https://github.com/martinberlin/eink-calendar/issues/14#issuecomment-597546211

This is a small recorded video clip for you to estimate sound quality with 40 mm speaker: V00321-095948_Trim.zip

Rubén's iArradio firmware is in use.

Nice one! Thanks for sharing

I tried to find the bug and no chance. Only with some sizes comes. Not a big deal but of course using 4 bits the size is 4 times bigger
