I see that the latest version is 2022 and that it does not merge or answer any issue, this project is still active?

Same question. I don't want to continue to use a package which is not supported.

I don't think that "dead" is the right word to describe the state of this project. I'm not actively developing any new features and I'll only merge pull requests that address critical security issues.

Many of the open issues fall under the following categories:

General support questions that are probably better suited for stack overflow or a similar programming questions site.
Feature requests that I don't have the time to implement.
