Use cached world interpreter to not have to detect which blocks are where every frame
Also, I think this shouldn't be for void??? For normal blocks. They can connect to each other.
blocks don't merge bc they are their own entity, and they are seperate. void blocks should merge because they are supposed to feel like an embodied force, the defines the play area
How about void and invincible.
Invincible is its own block, just like weak and strong, and they are usually the ones u sprinkle around the map, so prob no
nuh uh, invincible are permanent and should act as terrain that will always be a part of the map (stealth don't count)
also soon there wont be anyvoid anywhere near the middle of the map (unless the map designer has a gud idea) cuz stealths wont be able to go thru it
just do it for every block and make it so that nearby blocks update to the new texture when a nearby one is destroyed. so if u had a line of 3 white blocks and broke the middle one, the sides would update and be side blocks again.
just a few ideas of course, completely up to the Aaron and bread cuz I want no part of this pain cuz I tried the same thing when making kingdombes (it was abandoned due to irrelevancy and suffering)

@BreadSpam I'm giving you a coding challenge. Remember the connected block textures we were originally planning a few months ago? Work on making that.
Make it togglable in settings(make settings first) to prevent lag Divide block into 4 different sides for 4 different connectors Ask me for help bc this requires 2 brain cells.
