This is an overall cleanup to bring shipright into a consumable state by other engineers.

You asked me to review this but I see it still says WIP in the title. Is it actually still wip?

I believe this breaks forking as I get an error saying can't authenticate.

Forking is working on my local copy; what's the specific error?

Nvm, its just a silly error as I wasn't logged in. We don't redirect people to login yet for that stuff, I found a different bug in that with path spaces, but I'll make a pull for that.
