handle movie part #31

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
there are movies which are splitted into 2 (or more) parts, so the are, for
example, 2 files:

Movie Title, Part 1.avi
Movie Title, Part 2.avi

CD1, CD2, ... is sometimes used instead of Part 1, 2, ...

my suggestion is to add auto-detection of movie parts, and automatically add it
at the end of renamed movie.

many thanks :)

p.s. this software is GREAT!

My suggestion is to join/combine/merge your Movies which are split ;-)

For me, movies in multiple part doesn't exist, which is why Movie Renamer does
not support it.

But one day, i will add this feature, like this (case insensitive) :

cd1
cd 1
cd.1
cd_1
cd-1

or with
"dvd", "part", "disk", "disc", and "pt"

One point for you :D

Of course you decide which features to add to your program, and merging
multiple movies is a good idea, but maybe having parts auto-detected is
something useful to other people too.
However, I will follow your suggestion!

Don't worry, even if i "decide features to add", i listen suggestions and think
about, and this feature is something i will add even if I'm against :D because
many people want this feature and for a software which rename Movies, it is
reasonable to expect that it can do this.

I prefer to focus on development version to release the first "real" version
(2.0_Beta) and "do not add new features" ( " there are already many new
features ^^) which will delay the release (there is no release date).

thanks ;)

P.S. I look forward for the next 2.0 version, I'm sure it will be a great
release!
