Crest of log-likelihood. #3

Hi @Charly-Arguelles @danielcarpintero @ankrut :

For six different fixed values of $\beta_0$ I computed the likelihood for a grid in the space of

($\theta_0$, $W_0-\theta_0$). For each slice, I selected only those points with log-likelihood > -50. The result is a unidimensional set, which is shown with colored dots. Among those points, I also pointed out the one where the actual maximum (for each fixed value of $\beta_0$) of the likelihood occurs. likelihood_crests It can be concluded that there is some kind of local degeneracy between both parameters $\theta_0$ and $diff = W_0 - \theta_0$, appart from the degeneracy due to $beta_0$.
