Tray glitches when used with dash-to-panel #89

Describe the bug I'm experiencing a glitch when using this extension along with dash to panel. Please see the screenshot below. I'm finding myself restarting the shell multiple times a day because of it. I was wondering if someone will have any ideas how it could be fixed?

What is dash-to-panel and how does it interact with the shell?

Same issue. Think it's only on X11 and not on Wayland. It happens when a new icon is invoked or an icon disappears

Same issue here. Usually accessing the applications screen and going back to desktop "refreshes" and fixes the issue but still a weird bug...

I’ve been having the same issue for about a year. I’m using Tray Icons Reloaded with the Dash to Panel extension. whenever I connect to a new main display, the spacing between the icons becomes inconsistent. some separating spaces become smaller, others go negative (icons overlap). what’s weird is that only the icons move, the clickable/highlight areas stay where they’re supposed to be. this results in the extra confusion that I can click on an icon and a different application pops up.

I need to disable and re-enable the extension to restore tray icons to their logical positions.

Gnome shell 43.9, Tray Icons Reloaded v26, Dash to Panel v56, Wayland.
