Support for GadgetBridge Notifications #549

Hello there,

GadgetBridge is an open-source and privacy friendly app, to use wearables such as the AmazFit, MiBand, Pebble and many more. Many of those wearables offer the possibility to see the weather information directly on the wearable. However, therefore is an additional app necessary, which provides GadgetBridge with the necessary weather information.

There are many weather apps on F-Droid, which has an additional support therefore like Weather notification or Tiny Weather Forecast Germany.

Is it somehow possible, to add this feature also to Forecastie? Actually, it would be enough to provide the weather information to the API of Gadgetbridge. Example

I'm deeply suspicious of "wearables". As if phones didn't plug us enough into everything, everywhere all the time, our watches can now do the same. Further digitisation of our lives, abstracting more and more of what we do into bits and bytes. I'm not sure I want to encourage that or be a part of it.

Well, I mostly agree with you. But especially therefore I use wearables. If I just want to check the time or the weather, I don't have to reach for my smartphone anymore and may get distracted. It integrates more in my life. I personally don't see them as an additional part of an smartphone, more an alternative which doesn't distract and interrupt me as much as a smartphone. If I only have to raise my arm to check the weather, I would spend a lot less time on my phone.

Right now the only apps supporting gadgetbridge are either only working in Germany or has an aging UX, limited functionality. Supporting gadgetbridge notifications would be greatly appreciated considering Forecastie is one of the best foss weather app out there.
