Is God really sovereign? #16

Should we trust in God's sovereignty? Is there any reason to believe or think that God is not all-powerful or supremely powerful (e.g., vs. Satan)? Or that God is personally in need?

As a non-believer I would say there's absolutely no evidence to support the claim in general, but as a thinking person I also - perhaps oddly - don't feel this should interfere with one's desire to believe in some of the core concepts as it relates to said system. The sovereignty of the deity at the pinnacle of any faith can be a factor in how seriously one takes their faith, but it isn't the ONLY factor to consider.
