Messages don't always go through to email #10

I love Message my teacher but I wish it would always force emails through to my email and students email. Sometimes I log in and see messages that have been sitting a few day that I didn't get an email about. And students tell me they didn't know they had a message.

Also, I just sent out about 20 messages. When I logged in as one of those students I looked at messages and it says no messages waiting. But when I go to messages and choose "recent conversations" from the drop down menu it shows the message. Any way to make these waiting messages more obvious and findable for students? Thank you. I'm attaching a couple screen shots. Best, Bonnie changetorecentconversations nomessageswaiting_butthereare

Hi Bonnie, thanks for your feedback. Unfortunately this is beyond the scope of this plugin. The block currently just links to Moodle's internal messaging system, and the issues you've described are related to that, rather than the block. Thanks Mark

Hi Mark, Any tips no how to get improvements to Moodle's internal messaging system? Thanks for your quick response earlier!

Hi Bonmio, The best thing to do is to start a discussion on the moodle.org forums. You may be able to configure Moodle to behave how you want without changes having to be made. If you find that this isn't possible, you can raise a bug on tracker.moodle.org and propose the changes you'd like.

In your case, you'd need to set every user's messaging preferences to send messages via email, then prevent users from changing this setting. If you ask around the forums (the General Help forum is probably most appropriate), someone may be able to tell you how to do this.
