I have experienced the same problem using HTC Legend. First noticed it when I
couldn't use the "pinch to zoom out" featuer in HTC Sense.

Apparently it doesn't always dissable multitouch. Don't know what
triggers it yet. After reboot multitouch works fine with scandic
keyboard.

I have the exact same problem on a HTC Desire.

I installed the app and lost multitouch.
Uninstalled the app - still no multitouch.
Reinstalled and rebooted, now both multitouch and scandinavian keyboard works.

Sorry for a stupid question I suppose. But I installed the app, and it worked
ok -
but I don't know how to turn it on. The choice "locale and text" that should be
there, is no where to be found - is it renamed language and keyboard in
settings?
The phone is HTC desire

Forgby: go to sms/email or any writing
mode. Then hold your finger on
where the text goes. You'll get a popup.
There choose INPUT METHOD. From
there, scandic keyboard etc.

This can all be round in the instructions
tho.

I haven't experienced this problem with multitouch on HTC Dream running
CyanogenMod
and I have only heard of this problem with HTC Desire and Legend. I also see
that a
person using Smart Keyboard (http://smartkeyboardpro.com/forum/viewtopic.php?
f=3&t=211) has the same problem.

I'm therefore guessing it is a problem with using other keyboards than the
default
on phones running HTC Sense on Android 2.1. If that is the case, I don't know
if it
is anything I can do about it. I will keep this case open for now. Some people
have
reported that rebooting fixed the issue. Please try to reboot and see if the
issue
disappears.

Forkby: Yes, in Android 2.x, Locale & text has been renamed to Language &
keyboard.
Go there, check Scandinavian keyboard and then do what anton.tran says. This is
also
mentioned in the description, but the next version will come with better
descriptions on how to enable the keyboard.

Reboot solved the problem with multitouch. I consider this problem solved.
Thank you!

I had the same problem on my Desire, and it vanished after a reboot as others
have
described, so I'll hazzard a guess that the Sense UI somehow does not handle
the
changing of input method correctly, but can run fine with another input method
as long
as the new input method was in place before Sense started

I second the above notes. Installed it, got no multi touch, disabled and got
the multitouch back and then found this so rebooted with all enabled and voila,
all is well again.
