A customer has written in saying that she was previously told by EDF that there wasn't enough space where her current meter is to fit a smart meter and wants to know if it is likely to be the same problem with us. How much space do our meters need?

had an engineer from my energy company, EDF round a few months ago to try and fit a Smart Meter and I was told they couldn’t fit it without me carrying out some work to my unit first. Is it likely I’ll have the same problem with your meter?
It was all to do with making room for the meter and making sure the cables were insulated up to current standards.
I’m thinking it would be worth exploring whether I can have one of your meters before signing up. Can you help please?
