I'm writing this because I spent the last hours trying to figure out what I was doing wrong: I was able to connect to the device via VLC but there was no sound.
At the end (yes, I'm stupid): I tried to set the device as output device from sound settings and setting (PC) volume to 100% and boom. Fixed!
I know this sounds pretty dumb and many of you may know this already, but it would be nice to make the software do this itself.
I think it could be achieved using some bash script, I'll post here if I manage to do it.
