We've been working for weeks on the issue. A placeholder to provide any updates or summaries as we go.

10/9 - Vender on site and remoted in to do fresh Rauland software install (i.e. not from backups) Some future date may need to upgrade to OS MS Server 2019+ instead of 2012, but 2012 should work for now

10/11 - Fresh install didn't work. Seems to be related to compatibility issues with versions of Rauland software on server and on controller. Vendor says older versions should work, but doesn't seem to actually be the case. Forces us to upgrade our server to 2022 so we can try newer versions of Rauland software. Setting up evaluation version of 2022 on server. Evaluation version allows us to make sure it works before shelling out $4k on license.

New server install with latest versions of all OS and vendor software didn't work. Fresh configuration of all IP addresses, settings, etc. didn't work. Swapped out all cables and ports. No go.

Just got a message from the tech. He’s got another idea he’s going to try. He’s coming in later today.

Spent several hours with tech trying different controller/server connection strategies without success. Next plan is to rebuild alternate controller to higher firmware version. Latest theory is that lower versions (7) aren't communicating properly with higher version server (8), even though they should and controller should automatically upgrade from server to match.

Got paging/bells system working at South Campus with temporary server and controller on loan. Issue has been identified. New server and controller configurations being applied on machines in Tampa, to be transported to MCA in next day or two.

Tech in Tampa can't get our server working. Sent on to their Altamonte office for further diagnosis. In the meantime, they're sending a second stand-along "black box" for the North Campus, similar to the one that's now working at the South Campus.

Chris was onsite adding groups of downstair speakers to the controller. He also found a sleeve between upstairs/downstairs and ran a pull cable so speaker wire can be ran from the downstairs IT room and join up with those two daisy-chained speaker groups upstairs (north & south). With no other tech in South Florida, he anticipates the earliest to return to site to connect those speakers is Tuesday the 5th.

All is functional at South Campus on temporary loaned system. Waiting to hear what is going to happen with our own server and setting up more permanent solution.

Final two rooms (246 & Fitness) at north campus have speakers incompatible with the new wiring connection method. Ametek has ordered the correct two speakers and ETA on parts is week of Christmas.

Rauland/Ametek manager emailed that a tech will be onsite 12/11 to attempt to modify speakers in 246 and fitness room to accept audio signals from the others that are daisy chained upstairs.
