Matching Brace and Unbalanced Brace ignore Background Color #472

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open Editor Options/Syntax Colors
2. Select Element 'Matching Brace' or 'Unbalanced Brace'
3. Set the Background Color to something other than the default
4. Select OK to close the dialog
5. If you set a color for 'Matching Brace', put the cursor to the right of a
matched brace and observe the highlight colors
5. If you set a color for 'Unbalanced Brace', put the cursor to the right of an
unbalanced brace and observe the highlight colors

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect the foreground and background colors that I set in the Editor Options
dialog to be displayed when a matching or unbalanced brace is highlighted.
Instead, only the foreground color is displayed, along with the default
background color (white).

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
2.4.1.0
Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit, SP 2

Please provide any additional information below.
A background color highlight for matching and unbalanced braces would make it
much easier for me to see while scanning code. Thank you.

Fixed in version control. I have also changed the default for new installations
to
clBlue - clAqua (background) for matching brackets and clBlue-clRed for
unbalanced brackets.
