McAfee WebAdvisor extension flags the download as being risky (closed: false positive detection) #342

As I try to download it, the McAfee WebAdvisor extension detects it as an unwanted site... why?

It's a false positive detection. You can check MAS for malicious code, as the entirety of the code is published on GitHub free for viewing.

I suggest you remove anything McAfee related from your computer and look for alternatives, as McAfee is a terrible antivirus.

Thanks, I still have Avast Antivirus, so there shouldn't be any problems.

Thanks, I still have Avast Antivirus, so there shouldn't be any problems.

Avast is also terrible, its owned by Gen Digital now and even before then was known for selling user data and overall a bad company.
