Issue with Author Prefixes in Web of Science Data Imported into Biblioshiny #465

Hello,

I am encountering an issue with author prefixes when importing data from the Web of Science into Biblioshiny. The problem arises with prefixes such as "De", "Da", "Dos", etc., which are being interpreted as separate authors, thus distorting the author counts and affiliations in my scientometric analysis.

For example, these two entries:

DE 2024 "ORGANIC MATTER FRACTIONS OF SOIL AGGREGATES UNDER AGROECOLOGICAL PRODUCTION SYSTEMS IN THE SOUTHEAST OF BRAZIL" DA 2024 "GERMINATION AND SEED PRODUCTION OF JAMBU (ACMELLA OLERACEA (L.) R. K. JANSEN) AT DIFFERENT HARVEST TIMES IN THE AMAZON REGION OF BRAZIL" In these cases, "De" and "Da" are being counted as individual authors, which is incorrect.

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

Best regards

Hi, are you using Excel files from WoS?

Bibliometrix/Biblioshiny only supports plaintext, bibtex, and Endnote Desktop export formats from WoS.

Here a summary table with supported DB and suggested file formats:
