You have bought a 6" telescope, but cannot afford a couple of bucks on a wired
remote? And you are even willing to hold your hand on the air for several
minutes, instead of buying one?

Wires would pull on camera threw long telescope eye peace causing harmonic
shaking.
And occupy one of your hands.
Why would you need to hold hand in air for several minutes?

maybe I should be more clear in what i am saying.
i was thinking
activate
on face move away from sensor making mirror lock.
then hand in front of sensor opening shutter.
then hand in front of senor again closing shutter.
and timed exposures with mirror lock of course would be very useful.
activate
on face move away from sensor making mirror lock.
then hand in front of sensor opening shutter for set exposure time.

I read in its time my telescope was worth $800. I got it for $50 in mint shape
just needing it mirrors lined up and a few specs of lint brushed off.
I am going without any decent food right now due to lack of funds.
Saving me $10, freeing up my hands, lightning the load, doing a faster and
better job all these things add up to be quite significant because I am sure
that many others using the software will find it very handy. I would bet some
would even become users for this feature.

My apologies for any offense.
I think I may have been a bit too defensive when thinking about what I can
afford.
On the bright side I just finished perfecting my telescope's collimation.
Its has much better resolving power now.
I cant wait til clouds clear.
It would be very nice to have a fast, simple virtual bulb control.
I am pretty sure I will need the mirror lock with it too because I can see it
make the viewer image jump when it lifts on the extended telescope eyepiece.
Thanks for all your hard work.
I hope you find time to invest in this very worthy feature.
I am sure when people see its convenience it will be very popular.

Two difficulties found so far:
* We still do not know how to control the mirror.
* While the shutter is open, the display turns itself off, and then the face
detector stops reporting.
Will keep investigating, however...

i never got to try every possibility before mirror lock was disabled during
scripts or is it vise versa?...
If the timer is used with the mirror lock on will it give the second button
press to open the shutter after the mirror is locked?
Can you use the timer function to get around problem?
Could mirror lock be detected and a second shutter button push be made by the
script 1 second later?
