What about a "Motion detection" script to include in the Shortcuts menu. #61

Please, describe the enhancement of feature requested below:

I often shoot pics of wildlife, nature, and especially birds perched near
feeders in my back yard on home-made perches that are very natural looking.

I would take advantage of using a "motion detection" type script which could
fire a shot or series of shots when a bird has landed on the perch, or maybe
when a deer has moved in to a feeding area.

A quick Google search of "CHDK motion detection" produces a number of hits for
such scripts for other cameras.

motion detection is available only on the cameras with LiveView...
not doable here ...
even on that cameras it's a bit risky to use it for long time.

if you want motion detection the cheapest way would be:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Passive_infrared_sensor
plus
2.5mm TRS - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TRS_connector

you can think of how to do it ...
or google for it, you will find something for sure

We can close this Issue as add'l hardware is most likely necessary to make this
work.

Having several camera bodies and only the 400D without LiveView I tend to
forget that it is Viewfinder only body (which is just fine with me).
