MSC should be the default currency everywhere, not TMSC #28

We don't want users buying what they think is real MSC, only to find out later they bought TMSC. Since we're production, let's make the production currency the default.

Do you think this is really a concern? Throughout every stage of the buying process there are numerous labels stating test mastercoin - DEx currency, buy/sell windows, payment window etc.

I'll defer to direction on this as I don't feel particularly strongly about it, but I had thought defaulting to Test MSC would help to underscore that this is all extremely alpha and is still actively in testing.

We have a real production use coming on pretty soon as you're aware, I'd rather we start treating and labeling Masterchest as Beta rather than Alpha.

This includes things like the default currency.

This has been production since day 1 of the fundraiser.

I understand about the future uses coming on, but with utmost of respect that has zero bearing on code quality etc.

As long as we're using this rushed development methodology of coding features and releasing directly to the public without internal testing then it will always be labelled alpha. Beta implies we've tested features internally in our own alpha I feel - and I don't think it's reasonable for us to give that impression.

TL:DR; will always be alpha as long as we're coding untested features and giving them directly to the public.

That probably sounds a little combative, wasn't supposed to - I just feel quite strongly about managing expectations for brand new code.

On the default currency, this is already changed to Mastercoin in the next build.

Thanks Zathras

Put another way, I've yet to seen software hit beta status when 80% of the features have not yet been written :)

Understood. Thanks for providing a contra to my push to beta :) I'm closing this issue.
